Since our networks providers have graciously created the feature that allows us to borrow airtime from them, most of us will attest to its usefulness. Personally when these codes have aided me tremendously especially when bank ATMs messed up and I was broke. Now, life is simpler. Not, only do we have quick-codes we can use to transfer money, we can also borrow airtime. To access this feature, you simply need to know the codes to dial. In this post, I’ll be giving you the codes you need to borrow airtime/credit.
Let’s start with:
HOW TO BORROW AIRTIME ON 9MOBILE
To borrow credit on 9mobile, there are two ways:
- Dial *665#
- Dial *665*amount (quick)
It’s a great idea to send status to 665 to know how much you’re eligible to borrow and if you owe the network from a previous transaction. You can also borrow data.
HOW TO BORROW AIRTIME ON GLO
To borrow credit on GLO:
- Dial *321*pin*amount#
** In case you are wondering “what is my GLO default pin?” it is 0000.
HOW TO BORROW AIRTIME ON MTN
To borrow credit on MTN:
- Dial *606#
HOW TO BORROW AIRTIME ON AIRTEL
To borrow credit on Airtel:
- Dial *500#
If you are not eligible to borrow, you’ll be alerted. Select borrow once.
That’s not all; most network providers are now introducing the ‘borrow data’ feature. It should be right below your borrow airtime option. But that is only if your network provider offers that service.
One more thing to note is that all service providers have eligibility requirements which you have to reach. It usually contains parameters like being on the network for 30 days, having recharged a minimum amount in the past 30 days, etc. If you do not meet their requirements, you won’t be allowed to borrow.
And that rounds this post up. If you encounter any problems, feel free to ask making use of the comment box.
