Okay you have been out trying to see what Android M looks like and it has only come out to you in pictures so far. What to do? Hang on, ye shall have it (or what looks like it) sitting right in your device shortly.
Since you don’t have a Google Nexus 6 and you’re not enrolled in the Android M preview program, the only option to have a feel of Android M is to use a launcher. This does not require your device to be rooted and will or should work on any Android device.
How to Install Android M Launcher on Any Android Phone
- Install Google Now Launcher – Play Store Link
- Download the Android M Launcher – Third Party apk
- Enable ‘Installation From Unknown Sources’ if you have not done that before now. Settings —> Security —> Unknown Sources
- Once you have installed both apps, you can now use the Google Now Launcher by navigating to your phone’s homescreen.
Pretty easy! You now have Android M running on your device apparently *winks*. Until the official update is pushed to your phone in future, you can flaunt this.
