#CaptureLifeFive13: Tecno Camon C8 vs Nokia Lumia 720

Tecno Camon C8 is the latest addition to Tecno’s line of devices and a true flagship to say. Camon or Canon? The name obviously does sound more like a DSLR camera other than a SMARTphone that it is. Tecno Mobile touts this device as the most powerful camera smartphone in its family. How true? You’ll find out soon…

Both devices were taken for a camera duel even though it seems pointless as the specs predicts a clear winner already. However, the show becomes more fun when you see what actually went down with Tecno Camon C8 and Nokia Lumia 720 in photo contest.

The first picture as taken by the Lumia 720 looks great but it appears to look filtered by a tan shade. Over to the Tecno Camon C8’s shot: image looks more detailed and crystal clear. Even when you zoom to some point, the quality is retained. Although, the views are not precisely the same, the difference is evident however.

What do you think? You be the judge!

Nokia Lumia 720 is an oldie that dates back to 2013 while the Camon C8 is a newer device that is yet to be in the market even as we speak. Also, Tecno Camon C8 is a gizmo for this season with its F2.0 wide aperture and Dual LED Flash Camera; capable of taking 4K videos @ 30fps (frames per second) and 1080p Full HD videos @ 60fps. It is worthy to note that the Camon C8 features a LED flash on the front to support the front facing camera as well, which means selfies are no problem in low light conditions. Oh! And there’s a dedicated camera button on the Camon C8 – something I’ve missed for so long. As for me, the camera does pretty awesome. Excellent is the word!

  1. Wait! Why are we even comparing Tecno with Nok…. What is Nokia? I haven’t heard of such a phone. Its obvious the C8 is better

      1. must have been a joke… How can Ben not know the Nokia? However, for the Camon to beat the Lumia this bad, means the Tecno family have been on the camera project doing serious homework for a while. Nice work.

      2. im sure she meant it as bants, probably just joking, no matter how long nokia has not been in the “game”, you do not, not know Nokia. in fact it is a crime of historical proportions not to know Nokia.

  2. The C8 camera is really sharp. Awaiting a full review but it’s not like I need to be further convinced. I’m already waiting for the phone to be released

    1. this is a more objective stand on this topic, you are already convinced by it does not make you deny the existence of a great piece of technology.

    1. No o! Nokia Lumia is still mouthed when it comes to Camera o. They still have a degree of Boss at it. But for the Camon to come this far, they have done really great.

  3. lol…. nokia is better than tecno as a brand… but when it comes to this specific phone, then the phone is better

  4. If you are not coward, please compare tecno with Nokia 1520 and other Nokia high end phones to see who will laugh last. Still Nokia is the king when it comes to phone camera.
